New album "Antenna" was released on February 4th, 2009!

The 12 track CD includes songs from their singles Kataomoi Fighter and Futashika Tashika. And as always there is a Special Edition with a bonus packed DVD.

On October 28th GO!GO!7188 released a new live DVD entitled "6.21 Jiken." The DVD includes their live performance from June 21, 2008 at Hibiya Yagai Dai Ongakudo. DVD extras include backstage footage from Hibiya Yagai Dai Ongakudo.

On the same day they also released a DVD called "2man Tour Tetsuko no Hair + Open Night Family - Yoake no kazoku." What a title. It features footage from their Tesuko no Hair tour from May to June, 2008. Guest performers include The Back Horn, Flower Companies, Midori, Rin to Shite Shigure and Monglo 800.

Both releases are through BMG Japan.

New release art - click for full size GO!GO!7188 made two new releases on May 28th, 2008. The first was their 14th single, Kataomoi Fighter. The song was used as the ending theme for the anime show Itazura na Kiss (Mischievious Kiss).

The second was a new cover album called Tora no Ana 2. Their first cover album came out on July 10, 2002.

Short Bio

GO!GO!7188 is a Japanese rock group composed of singer/guitarist Yuu (Yumi Nakashima), singer/bassists Akko (Akiko Noma) and drummer Turkey (Takayuki Hosokawa). The meaning of their cryptic name is kept secret by the band.

Yuu and Akko both graduated from Shoyo High School in Kagoshima on the western island of Kyushu. In June of 1998 they officially started their band and were joined by Turkey in 1999. Their first album "Dasoku Hoko" was released in 2000. Since then they have released five more original albums (Gyotaku, Tategami, Ryuuzetsuran, PARADE, 569), two cover albums (Tora no Ana 1 & 1), two live albums (Kyu Ni Ichi Jiken, Gonbuto Tour Nippon Budokan) and one compilation album (Best of GO!GO!)..
