Where is your hometown?
My hometown is a small town in Yamaguchi prefecture, Japan. It's REAL country. I played in nature like a monkey!
What was your favorite class in high school?
English. I took English class at high school cause everyone has to take that class lol. But, I've been studying English by myself for several years. Cause I love American music, and have been influenced so much. I wanted to know what my favorite stars sing. But at first, I totally couldn't understand the "Slang". It was like "OMG... they really sing in English??" REALLY!
Who were your favorite music groups growing up?
B'z, they were my Hero!
Did you have a pet growing up?
I didn't have any pets when I was a kid, but now I have a dog. She's my baby boo!
At 18 you moved to Tokyo to follow your dreams. What was that first year like?
It was not easy, actually. I had no clue how to make my dream come true... And I even didn't know where to start.
What was it like to audition for the first time? Did you get nervous?
Definitely. I got nervous soooooo much! Even now, I get nervous so easily especially before the show.
You've modeled for fashion brands like a-comb. How do you prepare for a photo shoot?
I try not to eat too much at least one week before a photo shoot!
Your dancing is superb. Have you had professional training?
Thank you:) But I've never taken any lessons. Once the music starts, my body starts moving automatically. That's true. I just feel the music and follow what my body wants.
Your debut song "Candy Man" was produced by Kuro-usagi and is due to be released later this year. Tell us about it.
I sing about charming, sexy, incredible but dangerous man. That is "Candy Man." Sometimes, girls fall in love with that kind of man, you know. Actually, I used to. It's based on my real experience. I knew I better quit, but it can't be helped, because he is Candy Man!!
The whole idea and concept was from me and I wrote lyrics, and my producer made melody. He's a really good producer. We trust each other and we know what we want to do and what we have to do!
You sing and dance with a Tokyo group called SEXY★SOLDIER. Tell us about the group and how you all got together?
At first, me and my girl, MOMO met on MySpace! She was in contact with me and came to see my show. Then she gave me a letter and said how she wants to create the "Real Entertainment Show" with me. I hadn't seen her dance or performance, but I felt we can do it together. So I decided to make a group.
What are your hopes for the future?
I got to be #1! And keep on doing music till I can't sing.
Do you have a message for your English speaking fans?
Hello guys, thanx for your love and support. I got so many messages from all over the world. And your words always give me so much power. Thank you so much! I know not everyone can understand Japanese, so I didn't expect people who are not in Japan to support me...
I feel I'm so lucky and I'm happy. Someday in the near future I'm gonna make a tour and go to do a show in your country! Hope that day comes soon!!!
Now, I just want to say I LOVE YOU GUYS! and THANX again!
